You Turn Your Gaze on Me and I Tumble Into

poetry

published in Euphemism, fall 2021, vol. 17.1

crystal         amber         abyss

pooling like                  honey

and

   dripping

            down

                 like

                      molasses

AUTUMN AFLAME

burnt sienna staining the mind of an artist

a rich, reminiscent cold brew poured over ice

a caramel apple devoured in that golden hour

unified beauty

yet contrasts swim fluently

electrifying

             enthusiasm

soulful

         skepticism

blasé

      absurdity

treacly saccharine

brown eyed boy
