about me

I graduated summa cum laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Fredrick M. Supper Honors Program with a BA in English and a minor in creative writing. Currently based in Colorado Springs, I spend my free time editing for Wandering Lights Literary Magazine

Having lived in three vastly different parts of the country, my work often reflects my current environment. After keeping a beauty journal for a creative writing class, the habit has stuck and I can’t help but write about the ordinary beauty encountered on a day-to-day basis. You can find my creative work in Clackamas Literary Review, Euphemism, Living Waters Review, Saw Palm: Florida Literature & Art, and Sigma Tau Delta Rectangle.

I marvel again and again at literature’s ability to connect humans at our most fundamental level. C.S. Lewis said it best: “In reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad of eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do.”
